What is PGP?

PGP (Pretty Good Privacy) is a proven encryption protocol used to sign, encrypt, and decrypt digital data. Within Torzon, PGP fulfills two essential roles: authenticating the legitimacy of our links and messages, and securing communications between buyers and vendors from end to end.

Setting Up PGP

1
Install GPG Software

Windows: GPG4Win from gpg4win.org · macOS: GPG Suite from gpgtools.org · Linux: GnuPG pre-installed (gpg --version)

2
Generate Your Key Pair

Run gpg --full-generate-key and select RSA 4096-bit. Use a strong passphrase. Never share your private key.

3
Import Torzon's Public Key

Import our key: gpg --import torzon-key.asc. This allows you to verify signed messages from the Torzon team.

4
Enable 2FA on Torzon

Upload your public key in Torzon account settings and enable PGP Two-Factor Login. Each login requires decrypting a challenge with your private key.

Always verify this fingerprint when importing. Full public key available on the marketplace login page.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNT PROTECTION HABITS

Six foundational habits for robust account security

Strong Passwords

Build passwords with 16 or more characters mixing upper/lowercase, numbers, and symbols. Never recycle passwords. Consider KeePassXC for offline password management.

Enable PGP 2FA

PGP Two-Factor Login is the gold standard. Even with your password, attackers cannot access your account without your private key.

Backup Recovery Phrase

Write your recovery phrase on paper and store it in a secure physical location. Never save it on any digital device. This phrase is your sole recovery path if you lose access.

Separate Identity

Choose a username you have never used before. Never connect your marketplace identity to real-world accounts or recycle usernames from other services.

Encrypt All Messages

Encrypt every vendor message with PGP without exception. Never transmit addresses or payment information as plain text.

Regular Security Audits

Review your account activity on a regular basis, rotate passwords, and verify your PGP key. If you suspect a compromise, change all credentials immediately and contact support.
